The future is #ELECTRIC – Electromobility Revolution is here!
I had the honor of being a co-host of the Global e-Mobility Forum 2021. It was one of the most exciting projects in my 15-years of moderating conferences. Not only because I worked with a super professional production team in a full scale television studio. I have realised that electromobility is a game-changer for the automotive market and the labor market in Europe. It is a huge opportunity, and a threat at the same time.
Did you know that:
- There are 5.7 million jobs in the automotive industry in Europe. A big number of employees will be affected by the shift towards #EV.
- Every second electric bus in Europe comes from Poland
- Jaguar plans to sell only electric cars from 2025, Volvo from 2030. General Motors says it will make only electric vehicles by 2035, Ford says all vehicles sold in Europe will be electric by 2030 and VW says 70% of its sales will be electric by 2030.
“With the development of electromobility, the challenges change in time. In our opinion, the issue of preparing qualified employees, appropriate training and vocational education is currently one of the most important challenges facing all countries” said Michał Kurtyka, President of COP24, Former Minister of Climate and Environment of Poland. “It is a global challenge – we must act together, and drive the change together”.
If you want to learn more about the challenges and opportunities related to the transformation of the automotive sector towards zero emissions go to The Forum’s website www.globalemobilityforum.ios.edu.pl and watch the conference’s recording and grab the industry forsights.
5088 people from 167 countries watched this year’s Forum live. Forum was organized by KOZK / NCCC in partnership with Polskie Stowarzyszenie Paliw Alternatywnych // Polish Alternative Fuels Association and Polska Izba Rozwoju Elektromobilności.
